FAQ
What should we expect at our first visit?
-For pediatric/adolescent patients, at the initial visit, you and your child will meet with me for a 90 minutes evaluation and a detailed discussion of a potential treatment plan. After completing a clinical evaluation I would contact the child’s school teachers, therapists, educational advocates, and pediatricians to complete a full evaluation and come up with a comprehensive treatment plan. If your child is experiencing particularly complex problems, a longer evaluation might be required.
-For adult patient, at the initial visit I will complete a 90 min assessment, after completing the assessment I would like to contact your therapist, PMD, family members if indicated (after obtaining your consent) to complete evaluation and come up with the pertinent treatment plan which would be discussed during the following visits.
We provide GFE and what is GFE?
You are entitled to receive “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for services provided to you.
While it is not possible for a psychiatrist to know, in advance, how many sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services provided.
Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you.
This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you that are not identified here.
“Good Faith Estimate” is not intended to serve as a recommendation for treatment or a prediction that you may need to attend a specified number of visits. The number of visits that are appropriate in your case, and the estimated cost for those services, depends on your needs and what you agree to in consultation with me.
Estimated annual number of visits is based on average visits of patients in my practice
